Romain Vuattoux

Romain Vuattoux, 29, is from France. He graduated from Mount Allison University in Canada, with a B.A. in International Relations and then worked as an English and French university instructor in China for nearly 5 years. This enabled him to gain thorough first hand experience of the Chinese urban developments in three very different sized cities (Jiangshan, Hangzhou and Shanghai), as well as a deep understanding of the culture. He graduated from International School of Moshi in Tanzania, in 2002, with an International Baccalaureate, where he started to experience life in developing countries and came face to face with the urban development challenges faced by these countries. Romain has extensive life experience on four continents and a long lasting interest in sustainability and urban environments. After the programme Romain would like to return to China or stay in Europe to work with sustainable real estate development or more general sustainable urban development, in order to acquire skills and experience to later work as a consultant on sustainability issues. He would like work to provide simple solutions to urban challenges for cities developing countries.
