ComDev Seminars and Lectures Thursday May 30th – Sunday 2nd June

We have a busy and exciting few days of seminars and lectures coming up this week.

On Friday May 31st, Saturday June 1st and Sunday June 2nd we have examination seminars for students that have competed their final Degree Project. Each student will present briefly their work and then receive feedback and comments from peer reviewers and examiner.

These sessions will be of particular interest to present ComDev students that are starting to plan for their own final Degree Project work.

On Friday May 31st we have a lecture from Tobias Denskus titled  “Can social media eradicate poverty? Critical insights from blogs, Twitter & digital solutionism”.

Tobias is the newest recruit to the ComDev teaching team and is joining Malmö University as a senior lecturer in Communication for Development. Tobias will be teaching on ComDev courses from next autumn and will be presenting some of his recent research interests here.

Tobias will give his lecture at 13:15 – 14:15 local Swedish time (11:15 – 12:15 GMT). The lecture will be in the Studio, Radiohus (entrance 11C).

On Thursday May 30th and the morning of Friday May 31st we have examination seminars for students that have completed their Media and Cultural analysis assignments. You can see a full schedule here.
