We encourage ComDev students to apply for the Minor Field Study Grants (MFS) offered by SIDA (The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency). Malmö University have 30 grants that can be awarded to students that are conducting research for their final degree projects in, so called, developing countries. Grants are for 25 000 SEK.

Unfortunately these grants are only available to Swedish Citizens or those with permanent Swedish residency.

The deadline for applications is April 1st.

All Malmö University students will be competing for these grants and not just ComDev students.

You can find out more about the application process and requirements here http://blogg.mah.se/mfs/jag-vill-soka/ (in Swedish)

There is also a blog with contributions from students that have completed MFS assisted studies, including a number of ComDev students that have made successful applications in the past http://blogg.mah.se/mfs

This is the link to the MFS page on the main university website. http://www.mah.se/Ar-student/Studera-utomlands/MFS/
