The ComDev Team

Great news for those working within Community Radio. Our colleague Birgitte Jallov has just announced a 7 week, 7 module Sustainable Community Radio Management Course starting May 13th.

Birgitte was one of the teachers on the Advances in Communication for Development course given last autumn. Birgitte gave an excellent workshop on communication planning that was greatly appreciated by the participants on that course.

This training course is run by Birgitte’s own company EMPOWERHOUSE and offers an excellent opportunity to engage more specifically with Community Radio.

This course has a practice or applied focus and previous participants have found it a useful complement to more theoretical academic studies.

“This 7 week training course gave me a very different perspective on the theories, and things that I believed through my books and discussions at the University, I now understand in a very different way”.Camilla Simonsen, Master Student, Journalism and International Development, Roskilde University. 2013.

You can read more about the course here. Including a price list and discounts available. There are also a limited number of EMPOWERHOUSE grants for people working in community radio in development.

If you are interested then please take a look at the empowerhouse website and contact Birgitte Jallov directly.
