Context: Making digital information more tangible and present in a studio environment.

Description: An old paper-roll printer was salvaged, connected to the network and mounted in the ceiling. Sending print jobs to that printer results in a relatively persistent and present representation of whatever is printed — lines of text, images, etc.

Interesting: The ceiling printer could serve a role by combining useful information with visual inspiration material in the overall visual ambience of the studio space. A more relaxed interface would be interesting where users could, e.g., send emails to the printer and have them printed in suitable sizes and formats.
